Namibia - Photography Tour
Namibia is one of the most fascinating countries in Africa and with its staggering variety of contrasting habitats, more wildlife than people and a massively diverse mix of cultures, it offers a photography experience like no other.
This tour takes you to all the most interesting locations in Namibia, to explore its wilderness and provide inspiring photo-opportunities. You will visit the Namib Desert, the oldest and most captivating desert in the world, where the vast and moody red sand dunes create a tapestry of colour and shapes making it a photographic utopia. At a foggy coastal town of Walvis Bay, you will never be short of photographic opportunities; thousands of migratory shorebirds, flamingos, pelicans and seals will be photographed from a boat and on land, with the background of the most beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. The mysterious and intriguing Skeleton Coast is a landscape photographer’s dream. Dramatic action pictures will be possible at Cape Cross, where we will visit the biggest breeding colony of Cape Fur Seals in Africa. In Damaraland, you will come face to face with the legendary desert elephants, adapted to life with scare resources. You will be spoiled for photographic subjects at Twyffelfontein, which holds the largest collection of rock art in Africa with fascinating rock formations. The game viewing in Etosha National Park ranks as one of the best in Africa and a three-day stay here will ensure wildlife photography at its best. We will complete our Namibian adventure with a visit to a private game reserve where big cats and rare wildlife will pose in front of your camera.
This tour is suitable for both amateurs and more advanced photographers, who are looking for an enlightening holiday with the best access to Namibia’s wildlife. The tour is limited to a maximum of 7 participants in order to provide the best opportunity for photography and travelling comfort. The accommodation is of a high standard and carefully selected to ensure the best locations and to maximise time and photographic opportunities. This is not a photographic workshop, but a holiday with opportunities, where in the company of fellow enthusiasts in photography, you will be able to exchange ideas, share experiences yet have the chance to develop your own style. You will leave Namibia with treasured memories and inspiring images that, no doubt, will greatly enrich your photographic portfolio.Detailed Itinerary Booking Info
